This document describes the process of upgrading a node from Centos 7 to Rocky 9.
NOTE: To smoothly transition from CentOS to Rocky 9, it is essential to upgrade your SAKA version to SAKA 4.7 or a newer release.
Prerequisites
- Prepare a Rocky 9 kickstart USB by following the guide here.
- Minimum number of Key Custodians required to activate the cryptographic hardware module (the Trusted Platform Module (aka TPM).
- A storage device that is suitably large enough to fit the contents of the strongauth folder as well as some system files and formatted with Ext4 format to support copying large file.
- Kickstart OS installation will create root user with default password (Abcd1234!). So, it will be required to update the password back to non-default after Rocky OS installation.
