Troubleshooting Steps for the Standalone SKFS Node:
If you are encountering issues with SKFS, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
- Verify the FQDN and TCP/IP address of the node:
- Ensure the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) and the corresponding TCP/IP address are correct.
- DNS or /etc/hosts Configuration:
- Check if the FQDN and TCP/IP address are accessible via DNS or if they are properly mapped in the /etc/hosts file.
- Ping SKFS:
- Verify that the node is responding with the message "StrongKey FIDO Server is alive!" when pinged. You can either use the skfsadminclient or the ping web service to perform this check.
- Verify RPID:
- Confirm that the correct RPID is set for the FIDO domain that is currently being used.
- Install Script errors:
- Look for any errors encountered while running the installation script.
- Testing with a web application:
- If testing with a web application, check for errors in the webapp or its console.
- Review Server logs:
- Check the server.log located in /usr/local/strongkey/payara6/glassfish/domains/domain1/logs. If there are multiple log files, ensure you review the one with the relevant log messages for the error encountered.
