SKFS now returns a digitally signed SAML response upon authentication. SAML is a standard for exchanging authentication and authorization identities between security domains. SAML 2.0 is a protocol that uses assertions to pass information about a user between an Identity Provider (IDP) and a Service Provider (SP). This functionality allows for SKFS-based SAML authentication for Single Sign-On (SSO).
