Loading a PKCS#12 file (.pfx) with YubiKey

To load a PKCS#12 file into a YubiKey, you must use the YubiKey Manager.

1. Start up the YubiKey Manager application.
   
   
   
2. Click on “Applications” and it will open a dropdown menu. Select the “PIV” option.
   
   
   
3. The application will switch to the PIV page.
   
   
   
4. Click on “Configure Certificates”. From this menu you can import a PKCS#12 file into the YubiKey. Click on the “Import” button at the bottom right.
   
   
   
5. You will be asked for the management key. Fill in the checkbox for “Use default” and click “OK”.
   
   
   
6. A message will appear at the bottom of the application informing you that the PKCS#12 file was successfully imported.
