Loading a PKCS#12 file (.pfx) with Idem Key Plus

To load a PKCS#12 file into an Idem Key Plus, you must use the GoTrust Authenticator Admin Tool for Windows.

1. Start up the GoTrust Authenticator Admin Tool application.
   
   
   
2. Insert the Idem Key Plus into the computer, go to the “PKI” tab and make sure the “Certificate” subcategory is selected. Click the “Import” button on the bottom left.
   
   
   
3. Once you click on the “Import” button, it will prompt you for the Idem Key Plus’ User PIN. Enter the User PIN and click Ok.
   
   
   
4. The tool will then prompt you to select the PKCS#12 file. In this case, we are using a .p12 file. By default the selection window will only show .pfx files, so you will have to switch to .p12 using the dropdown menu on the bottom right. Select the .p12 file and click “Open”.
   
   
   
5. The authenticator tool will then prompt you to enter the .p12 PIN, if it has one.
   
   
   
6. Enter the PIN and click “Ok”. A message should appear to notify you that importing the certificate was successful. Click on “OK”.
   
   
   
7. After loading the PKCS#12 file, you should be able to see its details in the tool window.
